Campaign Planning

Wah lao... last Saturday was Polling Day. I woke up and like Mr Brown... went to do many many things. I started at 8am at Toa Payoh and was round the whole island doing something...(secret! cannot say, even though polling day is over) until 2pm. I went to Bedok wanting to eat the nice nice Bak Chor Mee with nice nice ter gnua (No, not the Mr Brown one!) but ended up eating the lao ya 高记 yong tau foo. Usually the latter's not too bad at other branches but this one at Bedok Central was the nua nua type. Then I went to the gym and then I wen to VOTE and then I out to work the ground (i.e. for my movie campaign!) some more. I want to move on to other things besides The Da Vinci Code.

My mum did something 'wah-piang' that day. Wanting to make sure she knows how to make a proper cross in the ballot paper, I asked her if she knows how to vote (she's more experienced than I am actually, but she last voted more than 10 years ago, so I thought I want to remind her). she told me 'Make a cross in the XXX party ah'? in public! I just quickly moved her along and said 'No lah! What I meant was how you should cross the box properly to prevent it from becoming a spoilt vote!' If tomorrow I kena arrested for instigating people to vote for XXX or YYY, I'd like to clarify 'I'm innocent!' Alas, in Singapore you are guilty until proven innocent. And my innocent and naive mother will assist in investigations as they see fit.

Talking about arresting people. James Gomez kena arrested. I became sad last night. Not because I am a James Gomez supporter but I think that we simply need to MOVE ON!

'BTW, Sylvia Lim from the Worker's Party, if the next time you go contest for elections in my ward, I will go and listen to your rally. Although I know little about you, somehow you managed to get my attention and I respect you for the things you say and do'!

Lest you think I am an anti-govt activist, I respect the SM Mr Goh and I was in the Marine Parade Youth Executive Comittee for a while (No, I do not live in Marine Parade GRC), doing what I could for the youths of Singapore. But the cost of keeping my family together and maintaining my work commitments means I had to prioritise. Something had to go.

I just needed to get something off my chest but I scared kena arrested. Wait Davin the Cheeko will be sitting beside me in the jail cell... then I have to face him day after day. I just want to MOVE ON!
